The Twilight Saga: New Moon

After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella's blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward's sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

At Bella's 18th birthday party at the Cullens' house, she gets a paper cut, and Jasper attempts to attack her. The Cullens decide it would be better for Bella's safety if they left, so they get away from Forks, leaving Bella heartbroken. She finds solace in family friend Jacob Black, who incidentally is a werewolf. But before Edward left, he made Bella promise she wouldn't do anything reckless or stupid but, as he'd already broken his promise to 'be there for as long as she wanted him', she decides to break her promise. She goes cliff-diving, which makes Edward think she has killed herself, although it was purely for recreational purposes. So Edward travels to Italy, to provoke the Volturi so they will kill him. Alice finds Bella, and they begin a race to the Italian city of Volterra to stop him.

Kirsten Dunst Returning For 'Spider-Man 4,' Villain To Be Chosen Soon

NEW YORK, New York -- Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson, "Spider-Man 4" producer Todd Black told the New York Post.



The star will rejoin director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker's love interest in the latest installment in the popular superhero franchise, which is slated for May 6, 2011.

However, don't expect wedding bells for Mary Jane and Peter - Black told the newspaper that he was unaware of such a subplot. At the close of "Spider-Man 3," the two had an emotional - but ambiguous - reunion after the film's events drove the lovers apart.

Additionally, Black hinted at the film's villain, shooting down online rumors that pegged comic book character Morbius the Living Vampire as the latest member of Spidey's rogue gallery.

Instead, the producer told the Post that the villain had a significant connection to the Big Apple.

"We're just coming up with who the villain is now," he said. "We'll be shooting in New York again. Trust me, people will appreciate who we pick, because it'll be a big part of New York."

In past films, Spider-Man has faced off with the Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Venom and Sandman, leaving a number of famous villains who could make their silver screen debut in "Spider-Man 4."

Among the popular options are Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, the Hobgoblin, Mysterio, Venom offspring Carnage and the Lizard, whose human alter-ego, Dr. Curt Connors, had a role in the previous two movies.

Another potential foe could be New York crime boss the Kingpin - however, the character appeared in 20th Century Fox's "Daredevil" and would likely require a rights acquisition by Sony Pictures.

But the crime lord would give the film a New York connection - and would also be Access Hollywood film critic Scott Mantz's top choice.

"The Kingpin is grounded in reality, and that's the appeal of Spider-Man," Mantz said, adding another suggestion to the mix - femme fatale the Black Cat. "I'd like to see the Kingpin and the Black Cat, to stir the pot with Peter's relationship with Mary Jane."

Hoping for a knockout in the boxing ring, or at least the modeling world, Madonna’s reputed boy toy went shirtless in Dolce & Gabbana’s fall ad campaign.

Steven Klein photographed the hotness that is Jesus Luz at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn. Women's Wear Daily says the ad was inspired by Italian film director Luchino Visconti’s pugilist flick Rocco e I Suoi Fratelli (Rocco and His Brothers).

Whatever that means.

Indian fans will enjoy 'Angels & Demons': Tom Hanks

New Delhi, May 3 (IANS) Hollywood star Tom Hanks has promised his fans in India that his controversial "Angels & Demons" will live up to their expectations as they have a "soulful liking for thrillers". He also says he would love to come to India to "be among the most lovable human fraternity".

Hanks is glad that "Angels & Demons", a sequel to worldwide hit "The Da Vinci Code", is releasing the same day in India as in the US.

"I am happy that it is not being released in phases ... We would like to give our (Indian) audiences the thrill of seeing an exceptionally adventurous thriller along with the US on May 15," Hanks told IANS in an e-mail interview.

"They have a soulful liking especially for thrillers...I hereby promise my fans in India that they would surely enjoy this movie and it would definitely live up to their expectations," he added.

Asked if he had visited India, the 52-year-old actor said: "Honestly, I did not get an opportunity to be there. But I wish some day I will be among the most lovable human fraternity. Indians are considered very warm- hearted and humble people so I also want to have a share of that warmth."

The Oscar-winning actor, best known for his performances in "Philadelphia", "Forrest Gump" and "The Terminal", has heard a lot about the Indian film industry and is game for working here though he has not been "approached yet" for any project.

"Who doesn't know about the Indian film industry nowadays...but I never have been part of it. I know many actors but can't really pronounce their names well. Sorry for that though.

"If I get an opportunity to venture into such a project, I will seriously think about it. I want to experience the uniqueness of foreign movies and their calibre," he added.

Directed by Ron Howard, "Angels & Demons" is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Dan Brown. While the book is a prequel to "The Da Vinci Code", Howard chose to treat "Angels & Demons" as a sequel since many had read the novel after "The Da Vinci Code".

Distributed worldwide by Columbia Pictures, it also stars Ayelet Zurer and Ewan McGregor apart from Hanks, who reprises his role as Harvard professor and religious expert Robert Langdon.

In the film, Langdon attempts to thwart the Illuminati, a 400-year-old underground organisation and their plans to wreak havoc on the Vatican.

The movie, like "The Da Vinci Code", is facing the ire of church officials for its alleged 'religious overtones' and 'anti-Catholic sentiments'. But Hanks stressed that the film does not intend to offend any religious community.

"The film is not made to raise debates or ensue into offensive gestures over any community. Neither have we come up with any stringent solution. At the core of it all is the age-old contrast between science and religion.

"'Angels & Demons' is an exemplary attempt by Ron to showcase the impact of technology to keep the faith alive among humans. I don't see it as an offence made on the Catholic community over the globe," the actor said.

Hanks is also "excited" and "overwhelmed" that the 138-minute thriller "has captured mass-fan following" despite the controversies. The trailer for the movie has already crossed a hit of over 1.2 million views on YouTube.

The actor said he had to read "a lot of stuff on Illuminati era and ancient symbols" and William Manchester's book "A World Lit only By Fire" for his role. He added that the film "has the same dose of high-end thrill and is equally fast-paced as the novel".

Apart from "Angels & Demons", his upcoming movies include "Major Matt Mason", "Toy Story 3" and "Boone's Lick".

Archie proposes to Veronica!

New York, May 27 (IANS) The world's oldest teenager Archie Andrews has finally decided to settle down with his rich and sexy girlfriend Veronica Lodge, it has been revealed by Archie Comic Publications.

The news of the redheaded teen tying the knot surfaced when the publishers of the bestselling comics posted an entry "Archies Andrews is getting married" on its blogsite www.archie-blogs.archiecomics.com May 15, raising speculations whether Archie would marry the beautiful but rich and spoilt Veronica or the bubbly girl-next door Betty Cooper.

"This August, prepare yourself for the Archie story you never thought you'd see, as Archie proposes to Veronica!...Could it be true? Has Archie finally decided to take the plunge and propose to comics' favourite rich girl? It sure looks that way!," Archie Comic Publications posted on the blog Thursday, a teaser for the 600th edition of the popular comic strip.

The edition will show the Riverdale High School student and his friends graduate almost 65 years after the character came into existence.

Jay Leno bids emotional farewell to 'The Tonight Show'

London, May 31 (IANS) American television personality Jay Leno has ended his 17-year stint as the host of "The Tonight Show".

The talk-show host bowed out of his final appearance Friday by welcoming the 68 kids born to his staff during his run on the show, reports contactmusic.com.

Leno first saluted trombone player Matt Fenders' teenage daughter Hannah, who was born just weeks after he started as show's frontman, and then he held back tears as he introduced the other 67 children.

He ended the show by boasting the kids were his legacy and that when they asked their parents where they met, they'd say, "They met on the stage of 'The Tonight Show'."

Leno's last show began with a studio audience standing ovation that lasted almost two minutes and then the white-haired host joked, "When I started this show, my hair was black and the President was white."

The comedian's replacement, Conan O'Brien, was Leno's last guest.
