Pirates of the Caribbean: Fountain of Youth

Just when you think it was over, they draw you in for more. Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are looking at a 2012 release for the fourth installment of the famous pirate franchise.

Johnny Depp is returning as Captain Jack Sparrow, but director Gore Verbinski has reportedly told Disney and Bruckheimer that he won't be behind the camera.

"I think they're (Disney) pushing towards 2012," Bruckheimer told ComingSoon.net about the possible release date for the fourth "Pirates" movie. "Hopefully we can make it; we'll see."

What was thought to be the final movie in the pirate trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End teased audiences with Sparrow and Barbossa in hot pursuit of the Fountain of Youth. Time will tell if this is the route they decide to take.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella's blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward's sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

At Bella's 18th birthday party at the Cullens' house, she gets a paper cut, and Jasper attempts to attack her. The Cullens decide it would be better for Bella's safety if they left, so they get away from Forks, leaving Bella heartbroken. She finds solace in family friend Jacob Black, who incidentally is a werewolf. But before Edward left, he made Bella promise she wouldn't do anything reckless or stupid but, as he'd already broken his promise to 'be there for as long as she wanted him', she decides to break her promise. She goes cliff-diving, which makes Edward think she has killed herself, although it was purely for recreational purposes. So Edward travels to Italy, to provoke the Volturi so they will kill him. Alice finds Bella, and they begin a race to the Italian city of Volterra to stop him.

'XXX' Sequel

Vin Diesel 's return as thrill seeker Xander Cage has been left hanging in the balance after director Rob Cohen pulled out of the third XXX movie.

Cohen, who took charge of 2002's XXX, was due to begin work on XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage later this year after securing original star Diesel to come back to the franchise.

But history buff Cohen has quit the project to make another action film — going back in time to shoot Medieval, reports Variety.

He says, "It was a tough decision about XXX. I talked to Vin over the weekend and said I hoped they would wait, but that if they find another director who's right for the sequel, I certainly wouldn't be angry. But I could not let something like this go."

A replacement for Cohen has yet to be announced. XXX 3 was due for release in 2010.

Rapper/actor Ice Cube took over Diesel's leading role for the XXX follow-up, XXX: State of the Union, in 2005.

Review: Moon

Adam Mast on Duncan Jones' MOON...

This effectively shot sci fi piece features an outstanding
performance by Sam Rockwell as Sam Bell, a miner whose been stationed
on the moon for three long years. He is completely isolated and only
has the lunar base computer (voiced by Kevin Spacey) to keep him
company. With only a few weeks left on his long and lonely shift, a
strange encounter has Bell questioning his own sanity.

Rockwell
gives a wonderfully textured, multi-layered performance, and it
reminded me a bit of Tom Hanks in Cast Away in that he doesn't really
have anyone to bounce off of here. This is essentially a one man show.
Rockwell perfectly conveys a loneliness and vulnerability that, at
times, is quite heartbreaking. Through the ingenuity of creative
direction and writing from Duncan Jones (son of David Bowie), Rockwell
is also able to showcase many different facets of his personality.
There's a stoic side, an eccentric side, and, of course, a manic side.
They're all on full display and in top form.

The plot of Moon
really takes shape in the second half of the film when a most
interesting element is introduced to this tale of a lonely man looking
forward to returning home to his family. Again, I'm not going to reveal
this particular plot point. It isn't so much a twist as it is an
intriguing hook that drives this character driven piece in a compelling
direction. Its also a plot point that will explain many of the strange
goings-on that may have puzzled some before the midway mark.

Moon
is both haunting and poetic and while the speed at which the story
unfolds may be maddening for some, there's so much here worth
recommending, including stunning art direction and an amazing score by
Clint Mansell. While Moon does touch on themes explored in 2001,
Solaris, and Silent Running, it doesn't really feel like those movies.
It exists in a world all its own. This isn't exactly a film for the
masses, but it does raise some interesting questions about humanity,
and it presents these questions in a unique, engaging way. If you have
the patience to stick with Moon, it's quite a rewarding experience.

Spider Man 4

Kirsten Dunst Returning For 'Spider-Man 4,' Villain To Be Chosen Soon

NEW YORK, New York -- Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson, "Spider-Man 4" producer Todd Black told the New York Post.

The star will rejoin director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker's love interest in the latest installment in the popular superhero franchise, which is slated for May 6, 2011.

However, don't expect wedding bells for Mary Jane and Peter - Black told the newspaper that he was unaware of such a subplot. At the close of "Spider-Man 3," the two had an emotional - but ambiguous - reunion after the film's events drove the lovers apart.

Additionally, Black hinted at the film's villain, shooting down online rumors that pegged comic book character Morbius the Living Vampire as the latest member of Spidey's rogue gallery.

Instead, the producer told the Post that the villain had a significant connection to the Big Apple.

"We're just coming up with who the villain is now," he said. "We'll be shooting in New York again. Trust me, people will appreciate who we pick, because it'll be a big part of New York."

In past films, Spider-Man has faced off with the Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Venom and Sandman, leaving a number of famous villains who could make their silver screen debut in "Spider-Man 4."

Among the popular options are Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, the Hobgoblin, Mysterio, Venom offspring Carnage and the Lizard, whose human alter-ego, Dr. Curt Connors, had a role in the previous two movies.

Another potential foe could be New York crime boss the Kingpin - however, the character appeared in 20th Century Fox's "Daredevil" and would likely require a rights acquisition by Sony Pictures.

But the crime lord would give the film a New York connection - and would also be Access Hollywood film critic Scott Mantz's top choice.

"The Kingpin is grounded in reality, and that's the appeal of Spider-Man," Mantz said, adding another suggestion to the mix - femme fatale the Black Cat. "I'd like to see the Kingpin and the Black Cat, to stir the pot with Peter's relationship with Mary Jane."

Almost every member of the High School Musical cast has made it clear that he/she is hoping to reach more mature audiences in the future.

In the latest issue of InStyle UK, the actress gets both her sexy and her dapper on. She's clearly come a long way from posing nude, as this is the sort of photo spread respectable stars would line up for.

Jesus Luz: Shirtless Dolce & Gabbana Model

Hoping for a knockout in the boxing ring, or at least the modeling world, Madonna’s reputed boy toy went shirtless in Dolce & Gabbana’s fall ad campaign.

Steven Klein photographed the hotness that is Jesus Luz at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn. Women's Wear Daily says the ad was inspired by Italian film director Luchino Visconti’s pugilist flick Rocco e I Suoi Fratelli (Rocco and His Brothers).

Whatever that means.

Adam Lambert in Rolling Stone: I'm Gay

I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay.

And, with those words, Adam Lambert officially comes out of the closet in the latest issue of Rolling Stone.

While the issue of his sexual orientation was obvious - and, for the most part, irrelevant - to any American Idol fan, Lambert has been bugged about his perceived homosexuality ever since he made a major impression on season eight of the Fox competition.

Last week, he held the hand of Drake LaBry outside a Hollywood nightclub, seemingly putting an end to the speculation. But now it's on the record, official, in print. Why did he wait so long to utter the words above?

"I'm trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader," he told the magazine.

Yes, Adam Lambert is gay. The country can move on now.

On being gay: I'm proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It's just another part of me.

On rooming with Kris Allen: They put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one guy I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type - except that he has a wife. I mean he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100% straight.
